The first option is to create your own formula and the second option is to begin with a custom formula. Once you’re in the app you have two options. Stacking several layers creates a formula. You can also delete a layer or drag to reorder them. There is no undo button in Mextures but you can edit any layer you wish and add an infinite number of layers. Textures are stacked on top of your image as layers to create a unique look. The majority of the original textures were created from 35mm film scans with various cameras giving them an authentic appearance. Moving the exposure around will lighten or darken the photo to your liking. I put the focus on my friendly lily pads and then adjusted the exposure. You may have to start the focus about a foot away from the object, and work your way in.
